WorkForceTracker

Desktop Agent Setup Guide

The WorkForceTracker desktop agent runs silently in the background, tracking activity and syncing to your dashboard in real time.

WorkForceTracker Agent for Windows

v1.0.0~18 MBWindows 10/11 · .NET 8

Your Server URL (copy this for agent setup):

https://workforce.buildwithai.team

Setup Steps

Step 1

Download the Agent

Download the WorkForceTracker desktop agent installer for Windows.

Step 2

Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded .msi file and follow the setup wizard.

If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More infoRun anyway. The installer is digitally signed.

The agent installs to C:\Program Files\WorkForceTracker\ and registers as a Windows service that starts automatically on login.

Administrator privileges are required during installation. The agent itself runs as the logged-in user — no elevated permissions at runtime.

Step 3

Configure the Agent

On first launch, the agent will ask for your WorkForceTracker server URL and your employee credentials.

Enter your Server URL — this is the domain where your WorkForceTracker web portal is hosted, e.g.:

https://your-org.manus.space

Then enter your email and password (the same credentials you use to log in to the web portal).

The agent will authenticate, download your configuration (idle threshold, sync interval), and begin tracking.

Step 4

Verify Tracking

The agent icon will appear in the Windows system tray. A green dot means tracking is active.

Right-click the tray icon to:

  • View current session status (checked in / idle)
  • Manually check in or check out
  • Open the web portal
  • View sync status and last sync time
  • Exit the agent

Activity data syncs to the server every 30 seconds by default (configurable by your admin).

Step 5

View Your Data

Log in to the web portal to see your attendance, app usage, and productivity reports.

Your dashboard shows:

  • Today's active time, idle time, and check-in/out history
  • Top applications and websites used
  • Productivity score based on app categories
  • Historical reports (subject to your plan's data retention)
